Children’s Forearm Crutches Moretti Mopedia Brio RP700C – Adjustable, up to 80 kg, Pair

The Moretti Mopedia Brio RP700C children’s forearm crutches are mobility aids designed to provide support and assist children who experience difficulty walking. Their adjustable design allows the height to be adapted to the child’s stature and individual requirements following assessment by a doctor or therapist.

The model combines lightweight anodised aluminium tubing with anatomical non-slip handgrips, rubber tips and front reflectors. The crutches are supplied in a yellow and blue colour combination and are sold as a pair.

Height adjustment

The crutches are adjusted to the child’s height using the holes in the lower telescopic tube and the locking clip. The handgrip height can be set between 65 and 81 cm in 2.5 cm increments.

Measurements and adjustments should be made while the child is wearing their usual footwear. According to Moretti’s instructions, the handgrip should be positioned approximately level with the head of the femur. When standing upright, the arms should remain comfortably bent. After adjustment, the locking clip must be fully inserted into the selected hole.

Materials and construction

The supporting tubes are made from anodised aluminium. The upper tube has a diameter of 22 mm and the lower tube has a diameter of 19 mm. The anatomical handgrip is injection-moulded from polypropylene as a single component. The design also includes a noise-reducing ring on the sliding tube.

A non-slip rubber tip is fitted at the bottom of each crutch. A reflector is positioned at the front of the handgrip to improve visibility. The RP700C is supplied in a yellow and blue colour combination.

Safe-use instructions

• Before use, the appropriate height and walking technique should be determined in consultation with a doctor or therapist.
• Before every use, inspect the general condition of the crutches, locking clips and rubber tips.
• Ensure that the locking clip is fully inserted into the selected hole and that the tube is securely locked.
• Do not use the crutches if the user’s weight exceeds the maximum permitted weight of 80 kg.
• Exercise particular caution on wet, slippery or uneven surfaces.
• Do not leave the product outdoors or in contact with water for prolonged periods.
• Worn rubber tips must be replaced promptly with suitable original spare parts.
• Do not modify the product or use it for purposes other than its intended use.

Cleaning and maintenance

Remove dust using a damp cloth. For heavier soiling, use a damp cloth with neutral soap and dry the product thoroughly before use. The water temperature must not exceed 30°C.

Do not clean the product using water jets or steam. Do not use acidic, alkaline or solvent-based products, including acetone and paint thinner. If disinfection is required, a standard surface disinfectant may be used.

Periodically inspect the stability of the construction and the condition of the rubber tips. Moretti recommends having the product’s suitability for continued use checked by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre at least once every two years. Only original spare parts and accessories should be used for repairs.
