The Moretti Gaya 2.0 RP540 is a folding aluminium rollator with a dual function, designed to assist people with reduced mobility. It can be used as a walking rollator and as an attendant-propelled transport chair after the backrest and footrests have been positioned correctly.

The reversible backrest, removable footrests and compact folding construction allow the product to be converted between its two functions. It is suitable for users who require support while walking but may occasionally need to be pushed by an attendant.

Dual function

When used as a rollator, the user walks behind the device while holding both handles and using the brake levers to control speed. The footrests can be stored when they are not required.

To configure it as a transport chair, reverse the backrest and place the footrests in their operating position. The seated user must be pushed by an attendant. The product is not designed to be self-propelled by the seated user.

Reversible backrest and removable footrests

The direction of the backrest can be changed according to the selected function. Before sitting, check that it is correctly positioned and securely locked.

The footrests feature plastic footplates and heel straps. When not in use, they can be reversed and secured to the frame or removed.

Brakes with parking function

The hand brakes operate on the rear wheels. Pulling the brake levers upwards reduces speed or stops the device. Pressing them down activates the parking function and locks the wheels.

The parking brakes must always be engaged when sitting down, standing up, remaining stationary or changing between the two configurations.

Height-adjustable handles

The handle height adjusts from 85 to 97 cm. Both sides must be set to the same height and securely locked.

When used as a rollator, correct adjustment allows the user's arms to remain slightly bent and supports a more natural walking position.

Folding and transportation

The rollator folds by pulling the strap located on the seat upwards. Its folded width is approximately 28 cm, making storage and transportation easier.

Before use, the frame must be fully opened and locked. Keep fingers and clothing away from the folding mechanism.

Instructions for safe use

The appropriate function, handle height and method of use should be determined according to the user's condition, preferably following advice from a healthcare professional or physiotherapist.

Before each use, inspect the frame and seat locks, the backrest and footrest attachments, handle adjustment and correct operation of the brakes.

Do not use the rollator on stairs, rocky terrain or steep slopes. All four wheels must remain in contact with a level and stable surface. Extra care must be taken on wet, icy or snowy ground.

When used in transport mode, the device must be controlled by an attendant. Do not use it as a self-propelled wheelchair and do not lift the device while a person is seated in it.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the frame, seat, backrest, footrests and bag using a damp cloth and neutral detergent. Do not use solvents, wire brushes or abrasive materials.

Regularly inspect the wheels, brake cables, locking mechanisms and seat condition. Clean the wheels and lubricate them when required in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
