Procedure for obtaining a free electric wheelchair:

1. If you are not applying in person, but through another person, a power of attorney is required for the LKC, NHIF, and the retail outlet where you will receive the approved assistive devices. The power of attorney does not need to be notarized.
2. Certificate from the psychiatric dispensary stating that the person is fit to operate an electric wheelchair. This certificate is submitted to the LKC for the issuance of a medical protocol.
3. Electronic medical protocol issued by the LKC (Doctor's Consultative Commission) according to the profile of the disease - neurological, orthopedic, surgical, or oncological.
4. Within 7 days of the protocol's issuance, you will receive approval from the NHIF – a number and date – which will be communicated to you by phone via Viber / SMS.
5. You inform us of the approval received from the Regional Health Insurance Fund (RHIF) and receive your approved electric wheelchair. When receiving assistive devices through an authorized person, that person must present the power of attorney, the personal ID of the eligible person, and their own personal ID.
6. The electric wheelchair is issued for 6 years, after which you can reapply using the same procedure.
7. Within the 6-year operating period, you are entitled to several targeted aids for repairs, tires and bearings, and batteries.
8. Warranty and post-warranty service for the wheelchair is performed at our own specialized service center.
9. Financing through TBI Bank: You can be approved for financing your purchase through a loan from TBI Bank on-site at our retail outlet.
