DIETZ SmartFix Raised Toilet Seat
DIETZ SmartFix is an adjustable raised toilet seat designed for people who find sitting down and standing up difficult. It raises the sitting position and supports safer and more independent use of the toilet.
The model features fold-away armrests, a stable fastening system and three height adjustment settings.

Adjustable height
The raised toilet seat can be adjusted to 8, 12 or 15 cm. This allows the sitting position to be adapted to the user’s height, mobility and individual requirements.
The higher position reduces the amount of bending required at the knees and hips, making sitting down and standing up easier. During installation, the front adjustment rods and rear height supports must be set to the same level.
Comfort and safety
The fold-away armrests provide stable support when sitting down and standing up. They can be moved upwards when more space or easier access to the seat is required.
The maximum permitted load on each armrest is 60 kg. The armrests must be loaded evenly and should not be used to support the user’s entire body weight.
Secure installation
SmartFix is installed from above using an adjustable fastening system. The construction is suitable for standard toilet bowls and provides reliable support when correctly fitted.
The standard support system can be used with toilet bowls where the ceramic at the rear is up to 25 mm thick. A different fastening system may be required for other types of toilet bowls.
Hygiene and maintenance
The smooth plastic surfaces make daily cleaning easier. Standard solvent-free cleaning products with a pH value between 5 and 9 can be used.
When required, the raised seat can be disinfected with a suitable disinfectant containing no more than 70% alcohol. After cleaning, the surfaces should be dried with a clean cloth. Abrasive cleaning products must not be used.
Suitable applications
DIETZ SmartFix is suitable for people with temporary or permanent mobility limitations, restricted movement of the lower limbs, lumbar spine problems or a need for a higher sitting position when using the toilet.
It can be used in private homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, retirement and nursing homes, and social care facilities.
Important information before purchase
Before purchase, check the shape of the toilet bowl, the position of its mounting holes and the thickness of the ceramic at the rear.
The product is intended for adolescents and adults. It is not suitable for people under 146 cm tall, people weighing less than 40 kg, or users with severe balance disorders, perception disorders or an inability to remain seated safely.
People with severely reduced mobility should use the raised toilet seat with assistance. Transfers onto the seat should be made from the front and not from the side.
The raised toilet seat must not be used as a step, climbing aid or seat for prolonged sitting. The lid must not be used as a backrest.
Possibility of obtaining an assistive device through the NHIF
An assistive device may be provided under the Bulgarian National Health Insurance Fund procedure when the relevant medical indications and required medical documents are available and individual approval has been granted for the specific type of device.
